The Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan aspire for the leadership role in pursuit of excellence in engineering science and technology. The Society enables the Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology to provide the top quality teaching and research environment for producing graduates and Post graduates who distinguish themselves by their professional competence, research capabilities entrepreneurship, humanistic outlook, ethical rectitude and a pragmatic approach for acquisition of knowledge, developing managerial skills and adopting ability to respond to the challenges of socio-economic development and techno-industrial transformation of the society.

• To provide for advanced education and instruction in the various disciplines of engineering and technology appropriate to national needs and requirements, and to keep abreast of the latest developments in these fields.
• To promote, organize, establish, finance, administer, manage and maintain Schools, Colleges, Universities, Research Laboratories and Institutions of learning for imparting of knowledge and for undertaking studies and research for advancement in the various fields of engineering, allied subjects and technology.
• To encourage, promote, support and undertake scientific investigation, innovative research, inventions and development in various identified fields of natural sciences, engineering science and technologies.
• To promote, undertake and finance schemes, projects and enterprises aimed at utilization and exploitation of economically productive and socially beneficial scientific, engineering and technical knowledge, and to acquire capability as a nation to adopt and employ the latest advances in science, engineering and technologies in the best serviced of the country.
